TarotScope 16 – 22 July

This week I’m using the Game of Thrones Tarot (Purchase yours here). I’m not a big TV/Movie/Series type person but I really enjoyed the depth of Game of Thrones and it didn’t take long before I was hooked and watching every single episode. When I saw there was a Tarot Deck for it, I just had to have a copy! Just like the series, I am not dissapointed by the cards. They continue to tell the story with as much passion and enthusiasm through the cards without losing the essence of Tarot or the essense of GOT!

So this week you’ll be getting the general interpretation as well as a GOT reference to help you through the week!! If you’re a GOT enthusiast like I am, please let me know your thoughts….

Ok, so lets get right into this week’s TarotScopes:-

16-22 July TarotScope Web

Individual Cards and Messages for the coming week:-

k of spears.jpgAries: Ed Stark rests by a weirwood tree of Winterfell after killing a deserter from the wall.

King of Swords is all about taking control of your thoughts which lead to your actions. Check in with your thoughts regularly to make sure that they are not leading you down a long and dark tunnel. Your mind is sharp, and your thinking is clear as long as you don’t fall victim to your thoughts.

Strength.jpgTaurus: Lady Brienne of Tarth IS Strength. With courage, she has survived a litany of taunts and rejection: “All my life men like you have sneered me,” she once snarled at Jaime Lannister, her captive, “and all my life I’ve been knocking men like you to the dust.” Jaime and brienne torment, yet rescue each other, eventually finding balance and resolution. When Brienne is about to give Jaime back his sword, Oathkeeper, at Riverrun, Jaime says, “It will always be yours.” In this touching moment, the sword becomes a symbol of their new mutual respect, and of Brienne’s enduring strength.

Strength tells you that you are stronger than you realise. You may need to dig deep but you can, you will and you must. You may need to take a moral stance, hold your ground or deal very sensitively with someone – but whatever it is, you are capable of tackling anything that you are fearful of right now.

5 of Spears.jpgGemini: Five Unsullied, sparring in an arena in front of the Great Pyramid

5 of Wands often depicts battles and conflict but in an interesting way, because it’s often battle or conflict in general and not particular with you, at you, or about you! So this week just be aware of the conflicts that are taking place around you, and realise that you are not part of them. You do not need to fix them, get involved or anything. Just slowly step out of the firing line and you’ll see the situation diffuse itself in no time.

Lovers.jpgCancer: Atop the Wall in a tender embrace, Jon Snow and Ygritte are about to kiss. These two outsiders, a Wildling and a man labeled as “illegitimate,” have just survived a perilous climb. The skyscape, with its gray and orange, holds the light of love and clouds of doubt: love, like the Wall itself, means risk. This is love, and Ygritte has claimed Jon – “I’m your woman now, Jon Snow.” Jon looks directly at Ygritte, yet her eyes are cast downard.

The Lovers is telling you that there are other things to consider in life besides for relationships. Love is very important but not just the love of others around you, but Love of self! You may also find yourself needing to make a decision regarding committement to a relationship or venture this week, and this card is reminding you to consider all options (good and bad) and make a more informed decision – and one that brings balance of Yin/Yang energy into your life. Consider the long-term impact of your decisions rather than the short-term gains!

Empress.pngLeo: Daenerys Targaryen, “mother of dragons” and mhysa of Meereen, is the Tarot Empress, or matriarch. She embodies the qualities of the warrior-mother who fiercely nurtures and protects what is hers. “When my dragons are grown,” she says, “we will take back waht was stolen from me and destroy those who wronged me!” Her dragons, flying above her as she sets sail for Westeros, symbolize the rise of Targaryen power. As fantastical creatures, they also represent freedom.

The Empress denotes the mother, wife, female partner, or an influential female. She stands for caring, security, as well as abundance. She wants you to be a little bit more gentle with yourself, and everything you’re dealing with, this week. Take time to love and nurture while paying attention to heightened emotions.

Cu1.pngVirgo: King Joffrey’s wedding chalice, given to Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell by her father, Mace.

Ace of Cups is all about new relationships. When we say relationships we don’t only mean love relationships. This week will be about making new connections, meeting people who can make a positive difference in your world. So get out there and allow these new opportunities to come your way. Be open to meeting new people.

Hierophant.jpgLibra: Lord Varys, the “spider” or “Master of Whisperers,” is the Hierophant, or the priest of the mysteries. The birds behind him represent his vast network of child agents and the screen itself, a veil of secrets. Just as a priest mediates between heaven and earth, Varys mediates between his flock of birds and the powers that be, politicking against the crown or the sake of progress. He saves Tyrion Lannister’s life because Tyrion, he says, “is one of the few people alive who could make this country a better place.” Varys stands outside the mundane world and he is above the early desires of men.

The Hierophant is a card of simplicity. A card of realising that the answers we seek are rather simple and uncomplicated. It’s a card of truth and understanding. A card of traditions, order, rules and sometimes even orthodox dogma. This week you need to keep these thoughts and energies close. If you start to feel overwhelmed or confused, just close your eyes, take a deep breath, and ask yourself: “What do I really need to do in this situation?” and if you listen to your own inner wisdom, you’ll find the answer you seek. And you’ll see that its simple, uncomplicated and rather easy.

9 of Cups.jpgScorpio: Samwell Tarly, sitting under nine cups at the Library at the Citadel, the seat of the Order of Maesters.

Nine of Cups wants you to celebrate a job well done. This is a very positive card and it refers to a completed project and that sometimes we have had to make a compromise before the end. Acknowledge your success and celebrate them this week. A week to complete and celebrate all the things you’ve been putting off for a while now.

5 of Cups.jpgSagittarius: In her chamber at the Red Keep, Cersei Lannister mourns the loss of her children.

Five of Cups shows that you may be feeling a little disappointed this week but if/when this happens, instead of allowing the emotion to take over, rather have a look around you because there are many other reasons to feel happy. You just need to see them. Take what you can from what is happening to you right now, as there is hope for the future.

Star.jpgCapricorn: Sansa is the Star, which holds the message of hope. Trapped in Winterfell by her sadistic husband, Ramsay Bolton, Sansa has had the opposite of the fairytale life she imagined: Her parents and brother murdered, she has been imprisoned, beaten, and betrayed. Yet she still has hope and faith that she will be free. Breaking out of her locked chamber, she runs to the Broken Tower and holds a lit candle at the window, a rescue signal to Brienne of Tarth. The candle flame signifies guidance, which comes in the form of Theon Greyjoy, who leads their escape across a freezing river to safety from Ramsay’s vicious hounds.

The Star brings such hope and so many blessings for the coming week. Yes the past few weeks have been tough but that is the past. You are strong enough now to pick yourself up and get going again. Its time to follow your heart and start rebuilding and repairing anything that needs it this week.

The MagicianAquarius: Spymaster Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish is the Magician, manipulating others to his will. He wears rings on both little fingers, signifying Mercury, planet of communication. On the red screen behind him are the lemniscate, or infinity symbol, plus the four suit symbols. The Magician stands for the individual and the go, the “I.” Littlefinger incites war and commits murder to create chaos, his “ladder” to power. He feigns powerlessness to get people to trust him but, as Lord Varys says, Littlefinger “is one of the most dangerous men in Westeros.” An arch manipulator, driven to succeed while others suffer the impact of his lies.

The Magician says its time to organise and clear out your immediate environment. Make sure you have all your resources gathered and ready, and know in which direction you want to go. You can channel grand visions into realistic manifestations this week.

King of Coins.jpgPisces: Lord Petyr Baelish, Master of Coin of the Small Council, holding a Braavosi iron coin.

King of Pentacles is guiding you to take control of all things important in your life. Are you completely satisfied? Are you wanting to improve your circumstances and your finances? This is a good week to make changes.

I hope you got the message you need this week.

With love & blessings,
From me to you,
Rene
